Hello everyone!!
Finally the Something Red project is complete! The romantic red wrap it is:

Romantic Valentines Red Wrap free crochet pattern 2crochethooks

We made this lovely wrap/shawl/scarf just in time for Valentine’s although it would make a great gift any time of the year 🙂

How did we do it? Here is the pattern instructions – you will be amazed at how easy it is!

We used Bernats Worsted (large ball) in the Christmas Red and a large scrap skein of white homespun. Crocheted with a J hook.

Guage: Not needed for this project

Chain 152 (mulitples of 6 +2)

Row 1: In second ch from hook, work a sc. SC in each ch to the end. (151)

Row 2: Ch 1, turn and sc back across to the end. Turn.

Row 3. Ch 1 and sc in first sc,  *skip 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc, skip 2 sc, 1 sc in next sc; rep from * across. Turn.

Something red 1st shells

Row 4: Ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 2 dc in first sc, *1 sc in center dc of next scallop, 5 dc in next sc; rep from *, end last rep 3 dc in last sc. Turn.

These shells looks so awesome nestled together!

Row 17: ch 1 and sc in same stitch, sc in next dc, *hdc in next three stitches, sc in next stitch, slip stitch in next dc(should be highest point of the previous rows shell), sc in next dc, repeat from * until end. Turn.

Row 18: Chain 1 and sc in each stitch across, ch 1 at each corner, sc around the entire wrap, joining back to first sc. Finish off Red and weave in ends.

Something Red white trim

Row 19: Join white at any corner, work sc in same stitch, *ch 1, skip next sc, sc in next sc, continue from * around wrap, join in first sc and finish off, weave in ends.

What a beautiful job you did on this wrap. I love it. I can’t crochet like I did before my hands got bad with arthritis and I do miss it sometimes. This is lovely.

I am so glad we found each other! I’m an email subscriber now so I won’t miss a thing. I don’t crochet, but love seeing what others make – and of course, I enjoy your “animal-lover” attitude – the same as my own!
