You know one of the great things about checking out blog posts you see linked up at parties is the inspiration you can receive. Every post I share I hope inspires someone and I love sharing the posts that inspired me to be crafty! Like this ONE from Gail at Purple Hues and Me. She shows off this lovely vase she decorated with sea shells and I just knew I needed to do something for Kristina’s coastal home like it!! This is a not-so-secret gift I made for Kristina. It has shells so it’s beachy and it has jars so it’s useful! This will be a cool craft you can have the kids do for teacher or grandparent or even friend gifts!

jar and shells

I grabbed a couple little jars I had picked up at the dollar store, the tiny shells and some NC beach shells I had here and went to work! Seriously this craft too like 15 minutes! And so super cute!

ok….well….while I was sure I took step by photos…..I obviously did not… basically hot glue your shells on to achieve the look you want…..I added a large shell on the front of one and three on the other.

Then I used the smaller shells around the jars, one row for one and two for the other. I thought they would be cuter if they were a bit different.

The tops were pretty plain so added tiny shells to the center. Aren’t they just so adorable? I tell you this bag of tiny shells I ordered off Amazon have been so fun to play with!

The finished jars! I am sure Kristina will like them. I figure they are perfect for the bathroom or the craft room or maybe even the kitchen! So run out and grab your jars or do a vase like Gail. Oh and I was at the devil store (Wal-Mart) the other day and where they have like the flower arranging stuff they had a HUGE bag of shells, all shapes and sizes. So there ya go, pick one up while you are there!

Thanks for visiting the beach with us today!
